The Goshen Volunteer Fire Company is an all volunteer Company consisting of 30-35 members operating from a single station located at 331 State Highway 47 North. Each year we respond to many requests for fire, rescue, and EMS assistance while maintaining a very active role in our community. Averaging over 50 calls each year, GVFC serves a 17.0 square mile fire district. Our response district includes the Fire Dist. #4 of Middle Township and certain responses into the other 3 fire districts in Middle Township, Dennis Township and as far as Avalon. Our Tender truck is called to cover some of our surrounding communities when needed.
Goshen is located in Cape May County, New Jersey and is part of the 64 square mile Middle Township with 3 other Fire Company and 2 Rescue. State Highways Route 47 run through the Dist. for 6.5 miles which is one of three roads to the southern shore area of our state, give us many MVC calls. We are primarily a small bedroom and farm community with two boat marinas.
Our goal is to provide services to the residents, business and visitors to our town while maintaining a high level of professionalism and readiness. Training continues to be a priority for our Department. |
